I felt bad that I didn’t get to say bye to The Aussies on Tuesday 14th January because I hadn’t realised they were leaving for Istanbul today and I was so wrapped up in work. I was really pleased when they left me a big bag of ‘stuff’ at my door, which was kind of them. I had buttered toast, oranges and tea for breakfast and cracked on with my day. I had a massive To Do list as well as chores to get through and I was glad to be busy. Jamie’s partner, Drew, was on his way over to Dalyan so I was invited to a soirée at their place tomorrow night, which I was really looking forward to. When I walked past the currency exchange shop, I noticed the lira to pound rate had dropped a bit an was now showing 41.2 lira to the pound. Captain Caveman had been back in the UK for 2 weeks already and was still having to adjust to the cold weather there. At 2.30pm (UK time), Captain Caveman had a follow up interview in Warrington so I was also keeping everything crossed that all went well. At lunchtime I had soup and a cheese sandwich plus more peanuts and I had the leftover lentil and chickpea curry with steamed rice for dinner. It still meant that I had consumed far more syns than I should’ve, despite the extra allowances. I was really pleased when Lady C, joined by our new walking buddy Chico, managed a much longer walk and seemed happier. Chico got no love from her though but let me give her a chin tickle.
