When I came downstairs on Thursday 25th January, it looked like there had been a crisp fight on the kitchen table. Then I remembered I’d bought some salt and vinegar crisps and a fresh loaf on our way home last night. I’d made a crisp sandwich and eaten half the loaf. I checked the Dairy Milk chocolate and I’d also had 4 squares of that. I totted up my syns and I had consumed 102 in just one evening! I was never going to shift the last few kilos at this rate! I had a word with myself as I cleaned the kitchen, put the washing on and generally tidied up. I had a cup of Yorkshire tea and watermelon for breakfast! At 12 noon I was off to Zumba again, I was determined to be good and lose some weight this week!
Zumba was intense, it cost 150 lira for an hour (£3.90) which is pretty good. Next, I went shopping, here’s what I bought with the prices in lira;

Fataç hardware store
1 paint brush 25 lira (65p)

Migros Supermarket
Plastic bag 0.25
Penne Pasta 9.67
Vegetable pasta 14.92
662g Chicken thighs 115.78
846g Chicken breasts 118.36
Total spent 258.98 lira (£6.73)

I went to the bank but the ATM wasn’t working. Next, I met Sarah, who was baking and selling scones and crumpets. I bought 6 crumpets, 4 fruit scones and 4 cheese scones for 360 lira (£8.83) but made myself put most of them in the freezer so that I could limit when I ate them. I remembered I had forgotten the mushrooms so I bought 400g of them at Migros for 57.90 lira (£1.50). For lunch I had beans on wholemeal toast then later ate one of the cheese scones with a bit of butter on – they were very nice. I made a slow cooker Slimming World chicken in red wine and had some of it with pasta for dinner, the rest would batch up for fridge or freezer. I also cooked some eggs in to an omelette which I chopped to add to rice, this was so that the eggs didn’t go past their sell by date and I could freeze the omelette if I wanted to. I managed to only have 15 syns today and had a tangerine when I got peckish in the evening. I’d spent twice the daily budget, though, and tomorrow I’d agreed to go out in my lunch hour.
